Manufacturer: Hickory Chair
SKU: HC6426-02
In the first quarter of the nineteenth century interior furnishings were strongly influenced by ancient Greek and Roman ruins. One of the more popular chair styles of the era was the "Klismos" chair, copied from images found on vases recovered from Herculaneum and Pompeii. A circa 1820 Philadelphia example described as a Klismos side chair with a tablet top is reimagined in this modern dining chair. The new Aliette Side Chair is available with choice of plain upholstered back or a button tufted upholstered back. Both are available with an optional elegant hand painted motif on the front and side aprons inspired by the original antique.
