The Delaine Sofa by Steven Volpe is an exercise in restraint: from the strength of the steel base to the grace of the back. With a soft, yet dramatic, rattan peel weave and comfort of the sit, the result is unassuming, yet bold. In step with his naming convention of ancient fabrics and weaving methods, Volpe named this sofa Delaine, which denotes a high-grade woolen or worsted wool. Delaine, originally a high-quality women's wear dress material, is an all-wool fabric made of plain weave and compact structure, much like the natural weave on this shapley frame. When paired with rich COM, this sofa comes to life. Available in a woven peel natural finish, patinaed brass finished base and COM/COL. Tight seat, three loose knife-edged back pillows.
