LAWRENCE & SCOTT CHINESE INSPIRED "BAMBOO SCENE WITH POEM" HAND-PAINTED GOLD FOIL 2-PANEL SCREEN 48" W X 50" H
The magnificent hand-painted 2-panel screen shows a serene scene of four bamboo branches with a loving poem describing the joy of painting bamboos, delicately painted on gold-lined foil paper. This screen can be hung as a statement piece of a wall with its solid wood frame. Hand-antique traditional hanging hardware is included on the back of the frame. Artist signed with traditional seal.
The late legendary designer Lucia Lawrence designed the delicate painting with strong Chinese influence and commissioned a famed painter in Hong Kong to hand paint using traditional Chinese brush painting methods with ink. Bronze stubby feet protect the sides of each panel.
No two in the world of this design are exactly the same, and less than 10 were produced.
